Never listen to the Excel haters — it’s not going anywhere. Choosing to use R “instead of” Excel is like naming a favorite child!
Each has its advantages, and a savvy analyst is able to use them in tandem. Here’s an example of using R to make up for an Excel shortcoming.

The functions used in this video are remarkably similar to what might be used in Excel, with a couple differences in how R operates.

Thanks, Dr. Steele. I am hoping to post more R videos with Excel users in mind. But the next few weeks will be rough with a measurement theory seminar! I do have one advantage with that course — I already know R.
