Did you know that many public libraries across the U.S. offer free access to LinkedIn Learning?
That means you can take thousands of professional courses, including several Excel and analytics courses from me, just by signing in with your library card.
Whether you’re looking to sharpen your Excel formulas, learn Power Query or Power BI, or explore Python in Excel, LinkedIn Learning gives you on-demand access to the same high-quality training used by companies and universities worldwide.
How it works
Most libraries follow a simple three-step process:
- Get a library card or e-card (usually available online).
- Visit your library’s website and go to the Online Resources or Digital Learning section.
- Sign in to LinkedIn Learning using your library card number, no LinkedIn profile required.
Once you’re in, you’ll have unlimited access to thousands of professional courses, including.
Libraries that currently offer free LinkedIn Learning
Here are several U.S. libraries and systems that provide free LinkedIn Learning access to cardholders. Availability can vary, so always double-check with your local branch:
- Washington State Library — Digital Skills Resources: LinkedIn Learning
- Ohio Web Library — LinkedIn Learning for Ohio residents
- Cuyahoga County Public Library (OH) — LinkedIn Learning with Lynda.com content
- Nevada State Library — LinkedIn Learning access
- Wyoming State Library — GoWYLD.net LinkedIn Learning
- New York Public Library (NYPL) — LinkedIn Learning access
- LA County Library — LinkedIn Learning resource page
- Los Angeles Public Library (LAPL) — LinkedIn Learning online courses
- District of Columbia Public Library (DCPL) — LinkedIn Learning resource page
If your library system isn’t listed here, try searching your library’s website or asking a librarian — many have statewide or regional digital resource partnerships.
And if you do know of another system offering free access, let me know! I’ll update this list so more learners can take advantage.
Enjoy my courses, and so many others!
And if you find them helpful, please leave a review and share with a friend or colleague. It really helps me and LinkedIn Learning keep creating new content for learners like you.
