Formatting can be a significant time-suck. Lots of mouse clicks gone astray, clashing colors, etc. That’s why I present nearly all my data inside a PivotTable — Excel will do the formatting for you!
But when you’re doing a quick analysis or calculation that doesn’t warrant a PivotTable, try this keyboard shortcut to speed things along. Ctrl+Shift+& will add a border to your selected data.
