To put it lightly, the “Summer of George” is a longstanding routine of mine:
It’s been a running gag for about 15 years now that each summer is “The Summer of George.” When people ask, “Wasn’t that last summer,” I reply: “No, that was *supposed* to be the summer of George.”

All the same, this is becoming a summer full of promise and engagement (not *that* kind!). I am so grateful to become part of the larger R community and present a talk on the survey development process in R to my local R user group. This was the focus of my DataCamp course and a topic that I learned front-and-back in graduate school, although in proprietary tools like SPSS, AMOS and MPlus.
